USU vs. UVU

I just got done with my first week of fall semester working at the HUB at USU (the hub is the food court in the student center). Let me tell you a little about what i did and what i think...

1. 5:00 am should not exist.

2. 5 bread forms does not make Amy a happy camper (Bread forms are like bread pans but they are made rubberie stuff... The form fits on to a cookie sheet. There are spots for five bread rolls that then turn in to bread loaves). I have to bake 50 loaves of wheat bread 40 loaves of white bread and 40 loaves of asago. To do this the bread need to proof from a frozen state to the size of a hogi then it is baked for 16-18 minutes. Think about it i can only proof and bake 25 loaves at a time. the whole process from start to finish takes about 2 hours on a good day times 4... GRR

3. Some of you might know this but at UVU I was the boss i hired and trained and made the schedule. Here i don't. So where i would have 4-5 works, they have 2 making it harder on the employees and the customers unhappy.

4. I learned that I miss some of the workers i had at UVU and the customers that became friends. But i also learned that there are people at USU that can work hard if they want to, and some customers could someday become friends.

5. I think part of me is glad that i am not in charge and part of me is sad because i see what they can do to be better and i can't really do much to change it.

6. Lastly i love it here because I get to see my Samm every day while he waits for his classes and then for me to get done. Its the best...
